Children in Need 20th and 21st November 2009
Poole Wheelers Cycling Club raising money for Children in need
This year Poole Wheelers have put a team together along with 7 other clubs and intend to ride around Calshot track at Southampton for 24hrs to raise money for Children in need.
Just for the record, Calshot track is the shortest track in the country, being only 142 metres round with 45 degree banks round the bends (a bit like the wall of death !)
Each lap will be completed in about 15 seconds
It’s not as bad as it sounds, Poole Wheelers have been given three 1 hour slots 3-4 pm Friday afternoon 11pm to 12 midnight Friday night and 7am to 8am Saturday morning
Last year a total of 553.05 miles was covered (av of over 23 mph) and I know everyone wants to go further this year.
As you can guess there is a catch - we need sponsorship
If you would be kind enough to help us raise some money, please follow the link below to the justgiving web site
